As a responsible corporate citizen, UEM Land Holdings Berhad wants to ensure a better quality of life for the community and is sensitive to the special needs of the residents in the immediate community. The community building programmes that have been undertaken include:

• The Company has given to Koperasi Nusajaya a fixed lease for a 500-acre land that comprises mature oil palm trees. The Koperasi, whose members include the villagers of Gelang Patah derive income from the oil palm fruits harvested
• The Company had at its own cost, prepared the site for a Pasar Tani in Gelang Patah for trading opportunities as well as the convenience of residents
• The Company had undertaken upgrade and repair works for the existing mosque at Kg Sg Melayu
• UEM Land had contributed a new custom-built fibre glass boat to the villagers of Kg Sg Melayu for the safe commute of students and teachers between Kg Sg Melayu and their schools in Johor Bahru
• UEM Land had built a "Pusat Pemulihan dalam Komuniti' (Community Rehabilitation Centre) in Nusajaya catering to the needs of special children in the community
• UEM Land had contributed a computer set to Kg Ulu Pulai Community Hall
• UEM Land had built and handed over a mosque at Kg Tebing Runtuh to the villagers for their use
